My amp building passion came about out of necessity while working as an office products repairman in my twenties. Since I couldn’t afford the vintage amps I truly wanted, I utilized my electronics training to set about modifying affordable silverface Fender™ amps to achieve the vibe of the over-inflated vintage showpieces that I could only borrow but never purchase. Over time, modification turned into engineering and building from the ground up.
